For too many people, brushing their teeth is a last-minute act before leaving the house in the morning and before going to bed.

Years ago, while on a business trip and in a rush to leave his hotel room to be on time for a meeting, Scott hurriedly brushed his teeth. In the process, he broke his toothbrush! Scott started thinking
about the amount of force it takes to break a toothbrush and the effects of such force on his teeth and gums.

Scott learned that too much force while brushing can cause receding gums and enamel erosion. Once gum tissue and enamel are gone, both are gone forever. This was the first time he considered the possibility of designing a cost-effective, manual, force-sensitive toothbrush.

Scott reached out to Jason, his friend since high school, to discuss the details of making his idea a reality. Together they created the Wayne Brush toothbrush. Scott and Jason developed the WayneBrish toothbrush to be an educational device for all its users.
